November 2006 was my last journal post... I am really really bad at posting anything in my journal or my gallery!

I guess I'd better get off my lazy duff and scan some stuff in...

Looks like I'm averaging one journal entry a year.

Well, I'm still not great at drawing. I try, but man, I just can't make my hands draw the things in my mind. I have finally decided I need to post my stuff up, just so I can see it.

So I'm a dork and haven't updated my journal on here in forever. I just added some new deviations, but for some reason they don't show up - are they moderating them now? Heh, probably. I realised that I really haven't written any poetry since I started working at About.com/Netzero - it's like that stupid job sucked the soul out of me. Now that I've been gone from that company, my creativity is slowly coming back.

I've got plans to attempt a sculpture in crochet for someone.

I've been doing a lot of needlework - it seems easier to accomplish because I can do a teeny bit at a time and put it down, whereas with a drawing I just want to do it all at once and make it perfect, and with a baby crawling all over the place, all I have is an hour at a time while he's sleeping.

So, to remind myself:

the kestralopod crocheted sculptture
the bag bag
the rag rug
more poetry
more drawings
work with my oil based clay for temporary creations
pressed flower collages

and I need to take photos of the nice things I've been doing lately. I've got some very nice crocheted things, plus a ceramic pot I did (I think I'm going to do a few, they are so fun)...

I think a big reason why my creativity is coming back is because I need to be alone to create, and my sister in law who is always around is *finally* moving out...

Okay, I am now officially mad at electronics. I can't get my brother in law's scanner to work. At all. I think I'm just doomed to only have my oldest, crappiest art on the internet. I've got this whole stack of pretty decent stuff, just *waiting* to get on the computer... and I can't get anything to work.

And my camera works fine, but taking a photo of a drawing? Pfah. Look at my dress robes designs to see how well that idea worked.

Bork bork bork.

Time to go all Office Space on the print/scan/copier...

Here I am, almost 2 years after making this darned account, and finally putting stuff in it. I am so bad bad. I need a tablet, and a scanner, so that I can actually get art from my paper into my computer.
